Built from a problem we saw firsthand.
While practicing primary care, Dr. Jerome Aya-Ay regularly helped patients and other physicians find specialists offering direct-pay care. He realized there was no simple way to discover these providers, understand pricing, coordinate a referral, or know what happened after it was sent. What was being solved through phone calls, texts, and personal relationships needed better infrastructure. That insight became Synapse: a simpler, more transparent way to connect patients, physicians, and healthcare providers.
